Restorative dentistry

Dentistry is progressing day by day in every segment. The same is true in restorative dentistry, where we have amazing progress in the field of aesthetic materials. Today, in practice, we have a large selection of composite fillings, that is “white fillings” The diverse palette of shades and colors of these fillings enables each patient to find the appropriate color, which will naturally fit its surrounding. White fillings are used for both front and side teeth and involve the removal of only as many teeth as are affected by caries.

Children's dentistry

Children’s dentistry can be defined as all dentistry applied to children, from birth to 15 or 18 years of age. The basic task of this branch of dentistry is the prevention and preservation of the health of the mouth and teeth in the earliest period of a child’s life, as well as the treatment of pathological changes.

Due to the fact that the teeth of our youngest are affected by caries in early childhood, which leads to a deterioration of health, a thorough dentist’s approach is necessary through a series of individual measures consisting in balancing nutrition, improving oral hygiene, professional change of fluoride as well as means for remineralization, to expect results in terms of preserving the health of the mouth and teeth.

Children’s dentistry treats patients in different stages of physical, mental, and emotional development. That is why we must make the first contact in the first year of life when we start working on trust, which is the basic prerequisite for success in dental procedures in children.

The early appearance of caries on the teeth in the lateral region, due to the characteristic morphology of the biting surfaces, can be prevented by FISSURE WATERING, or by sealing. It is one of the most effective methods in the prevention of caries with regular controls that are carried out over a period of 6 to 12 months.

Endodontics

Endodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with the pulp treatment inside the root canal of the tooth.

The most common reason for dental treatment is long-term caries, not being repaired in time. In addition to caries, the reasons for dental treatment are trauma, tooth fracture, or infection. The symptoms that occur and bring the patient to the dentist are throbbing pain, swelling, the tooth’s reaction to cold or heat, pain when biting, or the formation of a fistula.

Endodontic treatment of teeth is a painless process performed under local anesthesia.

Dental treatment can be completed in one visit, while in most cases two or three patient visits are required.

For the mechanical cleaning of the root canal, we use hand and machine needles, while using disinfectant solutions to rinse the canal and thus prepare it for the final filling.

The most important thing during dental treatment is that the bacteria in and around the tooth are reduced to a level where the body can deal with them on its own, and then we consider the dental treatment to be successful.

During regular visits and check-ups, the dentist can detect caries and repair it in time, thereby preventing the need for dental treatment.
